I Can Never Walk Past A Beautiful Sky Without Noticing It!!

God’s hand is so clearly evident in all of creation. I see His power and creative nature all around me.

When I come across a beautiful sky — if I am so lucky to have a camera near — I have to snap a picture of it. God can do such amazing things with the sky. It reminds me just how AWESOME our God is!

It’s like God is saying to us, “I’m still here.”  “I haven’t lost my creative power… You saw it at work at the beginning of time, when I created the Heavens and the Earth.”  “I’m the same God; Yesterday. Today. And Forever.”

There is a quote in the movie “The Color Purple” (and I will paraphrase) where one of the lead characters says she thinks God is not pleased when we walk past the color purple in a field and not notice it. Well, since purple is my favorite color, I certainly can never walk past anything purple and not notice it. Nor, can I walk past a beautiful sky without noticing it.

Just today, I was driving and couldn’t help but notice the beginnings of a beautiful sunset. So I grabbed my phone, and while trying to keep one hand on the steering wheel, I snapped pictures of the sky. The people in the cars around me must have thought I was crazy. But I didn’t care — let them look — God put that sunset there for me to enjoy on my drive home. Hallelujah!!

It is important that we slow down and take notice of God’s handiwork all around us. It pleases Him when we appreciate Him for the things He’s done, and is doing, in our lives.

CELEBRATE GOD for His creative power because He’s worthy to be PRAISED!!

I enjoyed this article and viewing the beautiful pictures of God’s awesome handiwork. He created this world for us to enjoy it and the beauty of it. To those that believe in the “Big Bang Theory”, the truth is that God created this very temporary world. “The creation of the world shows there is a Designer behind the universe (Romans 1:18-20). The conscience indicates a Lawgiver behind each human’s sense of right and wrong (Romans 2:14-15). The creativity we express in music and art reflect the same attribute that the Creator possesses (Exodus 35:31-32) and the communion or fellowship of… Read more »

I couldn’t agree more. Whenever we see a tall skyscraper, we know that there had to be an Architect who designed it; When we see an automobile, we know there was an Engineer; Further, when we see a beautiful garment, we do not question whether there was a Designer. These things didn’t create themselves. There were Architects, Engineers, and Designers who created them. This is also true with the Universe. God created the Heavens and the Earth. He not only created them, but He also sustains them — keeping everything in place (otherwise, the moon, the sun, the stars would… Read more »
